You’ve finished your yoga training, you’re full of passion, and ready to share the practice that’s changed your life. But once you’re out in the real world, the structure of training fades. Suddenly you’re on your own. I know, I've been there after my first 200-hour yoga teacher training! Cue the inner questions (and even self-doubt)! Am I doing this right? Is this sequence landing? What do I charge? How do I grow as a teacher/
This is where mentorship comes in. Not as another training, not as a one-size-fits-all formula, but as real-world, heart-centered support to help you step confidently into your voice, your power, and your potential. Partnering with a yoga teacher mentor is one of the most impactful investments you can make early on.
You don’t need to figure it all out alone. Your 200-hour YTT likely covered the basics of teaching - alignment, cueing, anatomy - but left you wondering how to actually building a teaching life. I love the 200-hour trainings, I've even done two of them! Yet I know, there are gaps. And mentorship can help you fill those gaps. From workshop planning to schedule balance, to how to show up authentically online, a mentor helps you bridge the wisdom of yoga with the reality of being a working teacher.
Mentorship makes your growth intentional, not accidental. Without a guide, your growth may be slow and reactive. You try something, it kind of works, you try something else. A mentor creates space for reflection, refinement, and aligned action. So you can move forward with intention and purpose. In my programs, we co-create a path that honors your personal values, goals, and unique voice. No carbon-copy teachers here.
You get real-time feedback from someone who’s been where you are. There’s magic in being seen by someone who’s walked the path before you - and who gets the nuances of this role. I started teaching in 2007, and believe me there have been ups and downs! From cueing tweaks to energetic presence, from class flow to self-doubt, a mentor reflects back your blind spots with kindness and clarity. It’s like having a mirror that doesn’t distort your light - it enhances it.
You build confidence through connection, not comparison. Scrolling through social media can make it feel like everyone else has it all figured out. But confidence doesn’t come from comparison, it comes from connection. In mentorship, we build that connection - to yourself, to your teaching, and to a supportive guide who believes in your potential. You get to root in your authenticity, not someone else’s highlight reel.
It’s about more than teaching - it’s about thriving. A good mentor doesn’t just help you become a better teacher. They help you become a more grounded, aligned, and empowered human. Whether we’re working through imposter syndrome, money stories, or boundaries with time and energy, our sessions often go beyond the mat. Because how you show up in your life shapes how you show up in your teaching.
You get to spend time talking about something you love - yoga! I LOVE to talk about yoga! Yoga teacher mentorship is the time dedicated in your schedule to talk about what you love too with someone who truly gets it. Mentorship is one of the few spaces where you can get excited about sequencing, philosophy, or student dynamics - without having to explain or justify your passion. It is also a safe space to ask questions knowing someone is hearing you who fully supports you. It’s energizing to dive into the thing you love most with someone who speaks the same language.
Mentorship isn't about waiting until you are ready or experienced enough. From the first day you finishing your 200-hour, mentorship can help you teach with clarity, lead with heart, and build confidence in an easeful way.
