ABOUT IN THE FLOW RETREATS

Hi! I'm Amy, and welcome to In The Flow Retreats! I hope to see you in real life soon on a women's yoga and wellness retreat, whether it be locally on Cape Cod or somewhere around the world.

If I think about the things I love most, travel, yoga, and friendship always come to mind first. Travel empowers me, teaches me something new about each place I visit, and reminds me that Earth is both big and small at the same time. Yoga is so much more than a pose on a mat. It's a way of being in my body and my mind and showing up in the world. The feeling of moving with breath and then arriving in stillness is hard to describe, so I'll just say it's incredible. Friendship, whether with new friends or old, builds the kind of community that becomes a support system, so I don't feel so alone in the world.

Those three loves are why I started hosting yoga retreats for women. If they resonate with you, I hope you'll join me on an upcoming retreat soon!

A retreat is an opportunity to slow down, relax, and listen to your inner wisdom. It's a chance to connect with yourself, with others, and with the world around you. To show up as you truly are, without judgment and with compassion. An invitation to come home to your true essence.

A retreat can be anything that takes you out of your day-to-day routine, whether that's a day, a long weekend, or a week or more. It's time to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with who you are and what matters most to you.

Why go on a retreat? There's no wrong reason. You might be drawn to a destination you've always wanted to visit, or want a convenient getaway close to home. Maybe you love the host, or a dear friend invited you. Maybe you're a solo traveler, and a retreat lets you go alone without being alone. Some women come to heal or take a break from something happening in their personal lives. Others come to process a big decision or find clarity on their next steps. Others to have some fun. Whatever your reason, you are welcome here.

In The Flow Retreats for Women
In The Flow Retreats Ojai California

Every In The Flow Retreat has its own unique intention that I offer to the group. But it isn't all about me...I ask you to release any expectations as we take this journey together!

Retreats are a safe space to show up as you are. So many places in life ask us to compete, achieve, and people-please. A retreat is a chance to release the "shoulds" and be vulnerable and authentic while being held and supported, without judgment. Please give yourself (and the other women around you) permission to do so.

A retreat is a break from daily life that gently stretches you. When you feel safe, it's easier to try something new, meet new people, or start a new habit. Allow yourself to get out of your comfort zone a bit to see what happens. Your courage and strength might surprise you! And with it, you'll have something to take home with you. A photo, new friendship, memory, or perspective that reminds you how brave and amazing you are.

One last thing I've learned from attending and hosting retreats is not to take it all too seriously. Flights get delayed, it might rain, the coffee might taste awful, the food weird, etc. Surrender, enjoy the moment, and have fun. If you're anything like me, you'll start planning your next retreat as soon as this one ends.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yoga & Wellness Retreats for Women on Cape Cod and Around the World

What is an In The Flow retreat?

In The Flow retreats are intimate-group wellness experiences for women, hosted by Amy Littlefield. They're built around three ideas: adventure, connection, and harmony. Unlike a typical vacation, they're more about the experience of the place we are in with yoga, meditation, and wellness woven in. Plus, all the planning is done for you to help be present and relax.

Where are In The Flow retreats held?

Retreats are hosted on Cape Cod and destinations around the world. Every location is a place I've visited personally and feel connected to. It is important to me to share it with confidence and help you feel comfortable and safe there.

Who are In The Flow retreats for?

They're for women who want to travel, recharge, and connect with like-minded women. Whether you're coming with a friend or on your own, you're welcome. Many guests are on their first retreat, their first solo trip, or their first international journey.

What kinds of activities are included besides yoga?

Each retreat includes activities, ceremonies, and adventures chosen for its location. Possible excursions include hiking, bike tours, boat rides, waterfall visits, surf lessons, and ATV rides. Retreats may also include visits to local farms, sessions with local healers, and cultural experiences. The idea is to help you try something new and step a little outside your comfort zone, while also honoring the place we are visiting and making sure everyone has a great time.

What is the group size and atmosphere like?

Overnight retreats are intimate, never more than 15 people, and designed to be a safe space where you can show up as yourself. Retreats include plenty of active listening and group activities, so everyone has time to share and feel heard and supported. I am always available for 1:1 discussions and support as needed.

What is noble silence?

Each overnight retreat I host includes disconnection and downtime. Noble silence is a quiet period, typically from 9pm to 7am, that gives you a break from talking and space to absorb your retreat experience.

What food is served on retreat?

Meals are healthy, whole-food, and pescatarian or vegetarian. We partner with local food sources and serve locally-inspired meals that may be different than what you are used to at home - and are always delicious!

Are your retreats alcohol-free?

It is important to know that these aren't party retreats. Retreat spaces are meant to focus on being present and clear-minded. Most nights are alcohol-free (and always drug-free) so everyone can be fully in the moment together. If the group goes out to dinner, a drink is fine. Guests often share how refreshing it is to connect with other women without wine being part of every night.

Is this a typical yoga retreat?

Yoga, meditation, breath work, somatic, and journaling are all part of the experience. But it isn't the whole focus. These retreats are guided women's travel experience that includes adventure, learning, building community, and rest. And most importantly, I take care of everything so you can just enjoy!

Do I need yoga experience to attend?

No. There is no level of yoga required, and no experience with anything is needed. Everyone starts from scratch together, so beginners are welcome.

Can I come to a retreat by myself?

Yes. Solo travelers are welcome, and many guests come alone. You'll be greeted with a hug on arrival, and icebreaker activities help the group get to know each other quickly. Most guests leave with new friends and keep in touch long after the retreat.

Do I have to unplug from my phone and work?

You're encouraged to take a break from tech, social media, email, and work as much as you can. If you need to check in, I recommend after our morning practice, so you can start your day with some "you time." We leave the phones, wearables, and tech out of the yoga spaces (unless needed for emergencies).

I'm nervous about my first retreat or solo trip. What should I do?

That's completely normal, and it takes courage to sign up. Retreats are organized, structured, and supported with clear communication before and during your stay. Reach out with any questions and I will help you feel prepared and comfortable.

Is a women's wellness retreat worth it?

A retreat is a chance to rest, heal, learn, grow, and reconnect with yourself, surrounded by supportive women. Many guests find retreats meaningful, and sometimes life changing. The aim is to help you bring more balance, calm, and inner peace into your life, on retreat and after you return home.
